Lord Aamer Sarfraz

Lord Sarfraz is a Member of the British House of Lords and served on parliamentary committees covering National Security, AI in Weapon Systems, and Science and Technology. From 2022 to 2024, he served as the British Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Singapore and was previously a Treasurer of the Conservative Party.

 

Lord Sarfraz is Chancellor of the University of East London, a public university with over 40,000 students, and an Honorary Colonel of the British Army’s 31 Signal Squadron. He advises C3 AI (NYSE: AI), DigitalOcean (NYSE: DOCN), serves as a Board Commissioner of VKTR (IDX: VKTR), and is a Venture Partner at Draper Associates.  He began his career in venture capital at 3i Group before serving as Managing Director of The Electrum Group, a private equity fund. Lord Sarfraz is a graduate of the Royal College of Defence Studies, the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme (Royal Navy), Boston University, and the London School of Economics.
