Mr Foxon has worked at Cedar Capital Partners since 2010 and has more than 24 years’ experience in hotel industry mergers and acquisitions activity. Most recently, he was a Senior Vice President, Transactions at InterContinental Hotels Group where he managed the disposal of hotel real estate with an aggregate value of over £2 billion. Previously, he was the European Managing Director of Maritz, Wolff & Co (a US-based private equity fund) and the Managing Director of Property and Development at Forte plc where he was responsible for the group’s global real estate portfolio, which had an aggregate value of £4 billion. During his time at Forte he was instrumental in the acquisition of several hotel portfolios and individual assets such as Crest Hotels and Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts. Subsequent to the takeover of Forte by Granada plc, Mr Foxon managed and executed the sale of numerous hotel assets including The George V – Paris; Sandy Lane – Barbados; and The Plaza Athenée hotels in both Paris and New York. He previously spent four years at Touche Ross & Co (now Deloitte) in the late 1980s.  Mr Foxon holds a Bachelor’s degree (Honours) in Hotel and Catering Administration from the University of Surrey, is a regular panelist at various hotel investment conferences and serves as a non-executive director of Akkeron Hotels Limited.
